Deeno led the others through the ship. Lo and Tan were wary but Otis spoke up.
"What are you planning?"
"My plan is to stay alive. That plan includes everyone on this ship before we were boarded, including you. I also plan to rid this ship of unwelcome guests, however their well-being is not a priority." While he was speaking Deeno was adjusting a setting on the grenade and the remote trigger out and slipped it into his clothing. He slowly approached the next junction in the corridor.
"Hold here." He told them. He inched towards the corner and readied his weapon. "When I give the word rush around the corner and keep behind me with your weapons ready and do as I say afterwards."
He held each of their eyes with his in turn until they nodded. After a pause he dashed out and disappeared from view. There was weapons fire; one shot flew past them into the wall pane across from them. Four blasts in total followed by a brief shout from Deeno.
"Go!"
Lo and Nibbler darted out to find Deeno retreating from the bulkhead next to the open entrance to the docking hatch. He had placed the grenade just out of sight.
"When I say so drop your weapons." Nibbler gave Lo a startled look. Otis was hovering behind them. A rush of footsteps sounded from the other ship. As armed people emerged and stepped over fallen comrades Deeno stepped back and called out.
"Ok, we surrender!" He raised his weapon and held high above his head. "Drop your weapons boys!"
Lo and Tan both tossed their weapons aside. Otis raised his hands. Deeno lowered his slowly as half a dozen armed marauders pointed firearms at them.
"Ok you got us." Deeno told them.
"Brilliant plan." Otis Barkut muttered.
