The Harpy Eagle flies over the forest looking for a kill. She has setup her new nest near the Harpies but not so close to cause an alarm among them when she comes and goes. She also has mated several times with the landwalker to make sure she is with egg. She hungry and knows she going to need to eat a lot so she has the energy to care for the chick while it is still young.

The Harpy Eagle spots some Boar in a clearing and goes in for a dive to grab one.

One of the Boars spot the Harpy eagle’s shadow and lets out cry. All the Boars rush into the forest before the Harpy Eagle can grab one. She tries to grab some near the edge of the forest while trying to stay airborne. But they are too far in and she won’t risk entering an area where she can’t open her wings.

Meanwhile Glato is in the forest hunting with the Harpies. He is sighting a small kill when hears a ruckus come from the woods. Glato sees wild Boar running his way. Glato drops his crossbow and starts climbing the nearest tree. The Harpies even help him get up in the tree.

Glato looks down at the Boar after they stop running. A few seem to be looking behind them. Glato looks towards where the boar are looking and sees the Harpy Eagle flapping and trying to grab at the boars. The Harpy Eagle gives up and takes off. Glato looks at his Harpies and then gets comfortable as he is going to have to wait for the boar to leave the area. The Harpies join him.

The Harpy Eagle doesn’t have any luck for the rest of the day.

The Harpy Eagle tries hunting again the next day. She is starting to get desperate. She watches her weaker kin and sees they are hunting the fields that the landwalkers tend to. But any of the kills her weaker kin make would not even begin to fill her belly. She flying along the edge of the forest when she sees a large wild boar in a field surrounded by landwalkers. They seem to be trying to attack it. The boar is way too big for her carry off and it is bigger than she like to attack. But it is meat, It is some distance from the forest and the landwalkers are distracting it. The Harpy Eagle goes into a dive to attack it.

The farmhands are trying to chase the wild boar out of the field before it does any more damage. It already destroyed a fence and is tramping the wheat. The boar lunges at one of the farmhands, but it is suddenly attacked by the Harpy Eagle and rears in pain as she sinks her claws into its hide. The boar starts running around to try and buck her off. But The Harpy Eagle’s claws rip the hide as she is throw about and she even digs in deeper when her claws are forced out. The wild boar starts to make a brake for the forest. The Harpy Eagle flaps her wings to try and pull the boar back away from the forest. The Harpy Eagle doesn’t want it to escape at almost any cost.

But then one of the farmhands runs in front of the boar and scares it to turn away for the forest. One of the others yell at him “What are you doing!”

The farmhand yells back “She is killing it! We’ll have to deal with it again if it escapes now!” The other farmhands quickly move to block the boar from making it back to the forest.

The boar begins to show signs of weakening from both blood lost and being tired out from the running. The Harpy Eagle keeps riding the boar and keeps digging her claws in. The boar lets out one last roar then drops to the ground.

The farmhands start to approach the boar to check it out, But the Harpy eagle jumps on top of it and screeches at them in defense of her kill. They all quickly back away.

One of the farmhands says “okay, now what?”

One says “Maybe they can talk to it” pointing to the harpies flying nearby.

Another one says “they barely know how to talk to us. How are we going to tell them what to tell her?” motioning to the Harpy Eagle.

Another says “Wait! I think I heard that Glato slept with this one.”

One says “I didn’t think that old fool would be that crazy!”

The head farmhand says “Go get him! Even if he didn’t sleep with her, he may know something. Hell, Glee may know something.” One of the farmhands runs off. The head farmhand says to the others “let’s get the stuff ready to move boar once we can get her off of it.”

Soon the farmhand comes back with Glato and his two hunting Harpies in tow. Glato says as he walks up “Am I this things keeper now!”

The farmhands respond “You slept with her!” Glato slaps his hand across his face. Glato says after he recovers “Do you have everything ready?”

The head farmhand says “Ready and waiting.”

Glato says “Then get the wagon and ropes ready. Once you have the boar on the wagon. You run like there is a demon chasing you. Because there will be one.” Two men slowly push a large single axel flatbed wagon towards the boar. Glato walks up to the Harpy Eagle and starts climbing on the boar saying “All right girl. You’re going to have to move.”

The Harpy Eagle stands her ground as her mate approaches. She won’t attack him because of how hard it is to find willing mates. She is even willing to share the kill with him.

Glato pushes on the Harpy Eagle’s shoulders saying “Come on…Move!” The Harpy Eagle holds her ground. Glato gets low and pushes up on her. The Harpy Eagle starts to lose her balance and flaps her wings to regain it. Glato takes advantage of her off balance and pushes on her lower section. This forces her use her legs stop her fall and she lands on the ground off the boar. Glato keeps moving and waving his arms in front of her to keep her eyes on him.

The farmhands quickly push the wagon up to the boar as two tie the legs together. They then throw the end of ropes over the wagon to two teams of farmhands and then pull the boar on to the wagon. Everyone grabs hold of the wagon and starts running towards the farmhouse.

The Harpy Eagle sees them running away with her kill and starts to chase them, jumping over her mate in the process.

Glato quickly turns around and grabs the Harpy Eagle’s tail feathers, but just enough to give them a tug. The Harpy Eagle turns to snap at him. But Glato quickly moves over to her other side and gives her tail feathers a tug causing her to look at her other side. Glato knows she has a blind spot right behind her and she will check it before moving. The two hunting Harpies join in by flying in front of the Harpy Eagle knowing she’s not as dangerous on the ground as she is in the air.

The Harpy Eagle finally tires of them and gives chase for her kill.

The farmhands hear the Harpy Eagle coming and give everything they got to make it to the storehouse. They run right in to the storehouse, only then do they try to bring the wagon to a stop before hitting the back wall. They all see the Harpy Eagle come to a stop when she gets to the doors. She screeches at them and even looks around at the interior before going back to screeching at them.

The Harpy Eagle is using every profanity she knows on them as she won’t go anywhere she can’t open her wings fully and fly away.

Glato walks up and pushes the Harpy Eagle aside saying “Quit your bellyaching! I’ll get you some food” as he enters the storehouse. Glato says to the farmhands “Do you how to take care of that thing.”

The head farmhand says “Yes, what do you mean by ‘getting her food’?”

Glato says “She hungry of course.” The all hear a low growl from the Harpy Eagle. The Harpy Eagle stops screeching for a moment, then goes back to screeching.  Glato says “It’s why she was trying keep it. She doesn’t know we’ll share it with her.” Glato finds some jerky and takes it over to the Harpy Eagle saying “Alright, alright, ALRIGHT! We know you’re hungry!” and holds the jerky to her.

The Harpy Eagle sniff it then grabs it with her mouth. She usually doesn’t like being hand fed, but this is her mate and she is very hungry right now.

The two hunting Harpies come in and start begging for food saying “Meat, Meat.”

Glato says “Alright! You can have some. You did help a little” as he give them some jerky.

Another male Goatfolk comes in yelling “What are those blasted things doing here!” The Harpy Eagle yells at the intruder causing him to back up.

Glato says “Hello, Bidi. She’s here for a good reason.”

Bidi turn to his farmhands yelling “And what are you doing! You should be taking care of that damn boar…?” He suddenly sees the dead boar on the wagon. Bidi walks over to it with a stunned look on his face saying “This has to the biggest I’ve seen in my life. Extra pay to the man that brought this thing down!”

All the farmhands look at each other, then say together “She did!” as they point to the Harpy Eagle.

Bidi turns to face Glato and the Harpy Eagle. He then looks the boar over and finds cuts so deep that he can put his hand in them. Bidi says “There is enough meat here to feed everyone in town for a day.”

The head farmhand says “We were trying to drive the boar away when she landed on top of it. I swear that boar was more afraid of her alone than any of us.”

Glato says “It’s probably because she hunts them and they fear her for it.”

Bidi says to Glato “Seriously!”

Glato says “Yes, I saw a whole pack run from her the other day. You know, if we can keep her around, she’ll grab the piglets for food and attack then if we have one come in the fields. She is a Boar killer.” Glato looks at the Harpy Eagle and says “That’s what I call you. Boar Killer.”

Bidi grabs some jerky and starts trying to feed the Harpy Eagle as well saying “Then at least feed her the jerky that’s about to sour.”

Glato “The problem is, I don’t think she shares the same tongue as the Harpy flock.”

The Harpy Eagle grabs some more meat and watches her lesser kin eating. She then thinks of the taste and smell. She then remember being given meat that tasted like boar one time she returned her mate and could smell boar nearby. It then hits her. “The landwakers cook meat!” They weren’t trying take her kill away, they were going to make better food for her. The Harpy Eagle pulls back and starts flapping her wings happily and squawking.

Glato says “I think she got it.” The Harpy Eagle starts trying to garb Glato to take him away, but Glato says “No! We are not doing that!”
