Description

My friend and I have been unable to upload images to our account in any way (incl. the character stream and the "Create any content" button). Image uploads worked normally about a week ago.

I tried multiple image formats, all below the 1 MB limit.
I tested on Brave, Chrome, and Safari. (Windows & iOS)
I tried on a computer connected to Wi-Fi and on a mobile phone with mobile data.
I removed my permissions from a shared world (testing if it was the known bug).
The image previews successfully but fails to upload.

I used dev tools to find out:

Failed endpoint: /api/internal/aboleth/image/cdn
Request method: POST
HTTP status: 500 Internal Server Error
Response body: World Anvil's HTML 404 page ("You have reached the edge of this world!")

Steps to Reproduce

Attempt to upload an image to your account through any means (character stream, the "Create any content" button, etc.)

Hey, I took a look and indeed the image uploader on "Create any content when you have a Character active should not be visible at all. To upload image for your character, use the portrait uploader from the edit page (we are working to improve this feature soon in the future). As for the character stream, we are aware of the issue and are in the process of revamping this interface so this will be fixed as part of an update there soon.
