Dárali - Echo Trail
Type: Echo Trail
Lore:
A subtle mélodi to mark a target with a faint shard and follow its trail through music and light. Dárali is a favorite among trackers, hunters, and guardians seeking to locate or protect kin and beasts over long distances.
Components:
Shard: Pífe Shard
Instrument: Pávo
Emotion Requirement: Focused attention and genuine desire to find, protect, or understand the target.
Wáni State: Calm focus; agitation muddles the trail.
Weaving:
Wáni plays a brief, deliberate melody while the target is within 10 feet. A tiny, green wisp bursts from the bracelet and attaches to the target. The wisp leaves a faint sparkle trail that only the Wáni perceives. Wáni then plays a quick, guiding melody short, rhythmic notes that produces a faint, visible trail of green sparkles. As they move, the melody’s volume and clarity increase, guiding them toward the target.
(Note: The melody’s volume and pitch are cues for direction; veering off course causes the notes to fade or distort.)
Effects:
Marks a target with a glowing shard that stays attached for 1–3 days.
The melody creates a visible trail of sparkles, guiding the Wáni toward the target’s location.
Can be used over several kilometers in open terrain.
Limits & Risks:
Strong magical or physical barriers can weaken or block the trail.
Emotional or zíno interference can distort the trail.
Overuse or playing while distracted reduces accuracy.
Manifest:
During Mark: A small diamond-shaped shard of green energy erupts from the bracelet, attaching firmly to the target, leaving faint green sparkles in the air.
During Trace: The bracelet glows a different shade of green; faint musical notes and sparkles linger as the Wáni follows the trail, with volume and clarity increasing as they move in the correct direction.
Additional Notes:
The trail’s clarity depends on environmental conditions and the target’s magical resistance.
Best used with patience; rushing can cause the trail to fade or become jagged.
