Some time after the war between the Gods and Primordials and Zuros was left in ruins, the dust began to settle and new life began to emerge in Zuros. Information given to us by the Gods has lead many sages to the conclusion that life developed in server ways from this point on, with some of life evolving naturally with the Gods only occasionally steeping in to nudge it in the direction they’d like, or just creating new life from nothing.
It is during this time that Gods took notice that dinosaurs were powerful and held great potential. The Gods use their magic and influence and molded dinosaurs into the first dragons.
