Two years have passed since her her brother died. After her parents grieved and Rena pretended to do so she began to learn the various skills to run a region as a noble. Her father taught her how to run the barony as a whole. Her mother was teaching her to manage the estate itself including managing it's staff which Rena took great interest in. Rena found learning to be...well rather boring but she must learn for personal plans to be realized. It took a year but she can finally perform her mother's task...or at least knew enough to make it look like it while Meg was the one that auctully would be doing that work. Time to cast her mother aside.
Rena enters the sitting room her mother is in with Meg. Her mother asks "Do you need something Rena?" Rena nods "indeed I do. Meg. Seal the room. This is a sensitive matter." Meg leaves the room and shuts the doors behind her as locks click into place and curtains close on their own. Baroness Palemare looks around concerned etched on her face saying "something isn't right..." Rena smiles as she approaches "auctully things are going exactly as I want. Father is away and the servants are all busy outside. So it's time I put you in your place." Rena caught her mother's arm as it went to slap her. Her mother tried pulling away from Rena but couldn't escape her vice like grip regardless of her growing desperation causing her to pull harder and harder. Rena mocked "What's wrong mother? Where did that flash of bravery go? Oh well, I guess it's mine turn now" Rena squeezed hard. the baroness screamed in pain. Rena giggled "oh you do scream. I wonder if..." Rena then began to slacking and tighten her grip causing her mother to scream in a cruel beat. Rena laughed the whole time till she let go and kicked her mother away. The baroness got to her knees as Rena took in a deep breath "by the spirits that was fun. Sad I didn't do that to my siblings though." Her mother asked shocked "W-what do you mean?" A mischievous glint enters Rena's eye "Oh ya! You don't know do you? I had Meg kill Mina for her room. Meg says she was terrified. I will always regret not seeing that one. I lured away my brother then gave him a gentle nudge off a cliff. He screamed the whole way right to the sudden stop." The baroness arms hung loosely by her side as she slumped. She muttered looking into the void "My babies...dead because..." Rena approached and waved her hand in front of her mother's eyes and got no response. Rena giggled "Wow. I broke her." She admires this for a moment then shakes her head "No. As amusing as it would be to keep her around Meg made it clear for the plan to work witnesses must be terminated no matter what for now. So if I don't do it Meg will and deny me the pleasure." She wrapped her hands around her mother's neck who was too shattered to resist.
It's almost four years since the baroness passed. The baron never fully recovered from this but managed to keep himself together enough to continue Rena's education. Though there isn't much left he can teach her at this point that Meg can't. Time to toss out the last of the baggage. Rena asks Meg "you still got that magical recording yes?" Meg nods "Of course Lady Rena." Rena waves her away "It's time that you sent someone to tell father about that horrible discovery." Meg bows "by your will." Meg retrieves the recording and departs to the maid she prepared to 'find' it.
The baron rests in the chair in his room. It was getting harder to make though each day but he has to keep himself together, after his daughter takes over the reigns then he can finally fall apart. The doors to his room slam open! He turns to see one of the maids breathing heavily and clutching what appears to be a ruby in her hand. In a panic the maid says "My lord! I have something urgent you need to see." The baron asks "Is that a record crystal?" She nods and activates it. The magical recording shows Rena killing the baroness years prior. The baron says shocked "my own flesh and blood...." He takes a deep breath to steel himself "This will destroy what little of me is left...But I must ensure Rena can never inherit my title" he grabs his trusty sword asking "How much of the staff will be with us?" The maid shakes her head "I-I don't know. I don't recognize most of them and there is no telling what Young Lady Rena and Meg have told them." His face grows grim "just us then..." The maid nods.
The door to Rena's chambers bursts open. Rena looks over to the door "What ever is the matter father?" The baron levels his sword at her declaring "You will answer for your crimes against this family oh monstrous daughter of mine!" Rena bursts out laughing "Oh my. Monstrous Daughter. That's a good one. Answer for my crimes eh? How do you plan to do that when you are already dancing to my tune?" The baron says "you...wanted me to come here blade in hand?" Rena nods "Yup. My poor mentally ill father finally snapped under the grief and pressure. Tried to kill me in the madness. Luckily I escape and you take your own life once you realized what you almost did." The baron doesn't beleive a word "I highly doubt you have the means to do that" Rena grins and points behind the baron "Oh but I do. For I have Megai. Though you know her as Meg." The room seemingly seals itself as the baron and maid turn to see Megai looming over them. The baron says "A demon!" Megai's dual tone voice echoes through the room "Devil. Not that you mortals seem to ever learn the difference." The baron exclaims "YOU! This is your fault! You infected my daughter! Enslaved her!" Rena clicks "Tsk tsk. It's not very nice to yell at the help like that. Besides if anything she's enslaved to me." The baron turns back to Rena "What are you?" Rena grins "superior." The baron knows he only has once chance. He can't take out Megai, but he might still be able to take out his daughter. He tries to charge but find he can't move. A quick look down and sees dark crimson fog all over the ground that almost looks like it's crawling up him and the maid. The maid begins to panic "No! You promised if I brought him you would spare me?" Rena's grin grows sinister. "True...Megai looks like my life was saved by this brave maid that jumped in front of his blade. I shall remember her dearly." Rena walks to the main doors which unseal and open for her "You know what to do Megai. I have some 'grieving' to do." Megai says as the doors close behind Rena "By your will Lady Rena." The Palemare region now enters a time of great suffering.
